Local specialities include the famous salade nicoise, which is a mixed salad with tuna, egg, anchovies and potatoes, pissaladiere, an onion tart with anchovies, ratatouille, a Mediterranean vegetable stew, and tarte au citron, or lemon tart. The south of France is also well known for the red wines of the Rhone area, and light and summery white and rosé wines from the vineyards along the Mediterranean coast.

The Plaza is 10 minutes from Cannes. It is situated in the Alpes-Maritimes department of the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region of south-eastern France.

Nice International Airport is around 30 minutes from the development, and serves a number of major European cities. Cannes Mandelieu Airport is only 4km from the centre of Cannes.
